Second season of the candy-centric comedy anime to return next year
The show focuses on Kokonotsu Shikada, whose small-town life has been knocked off balance by the arrival of Hotaru Shidare, the eccentric, sweets-loving daughter of a famous snacks company. She came to recruit Kokonotsu’s father who agreed to work for her so long as she could convince his son to take over the family candy shop. The problem is that Kokonotsu has no interest in doing so, so the wooing continues.

The second season of the comedy anime will debut later this year.
The series continues to look at the titular Umaru, who in public is a model student and good citizen, respected and beloved by all, but in private, acts childish and selfish, not wanting to do anything except laze about, overindulge in her hobbies, and have fun with her friends.
If you haven’t seen the first season, be like Umaru and bingewatch all twelve episodes right now.

An English language version of the super-powered, multi-sibling comedy series is currently in the works!
Castle Town Dandelion, which originally aired in the summer of 2015, centers around Akane and her eight brothers and sisters who participate in an election to succeed their father, the king, who has suddenly decided to retire. Each sibling has their own reasons for becoming the ruler, as well as a unique superpower that provides advantages (or disadvantages) for them to use in their campaign.
This series, with its lovable cast, will make you wish you could vote for them, instead of anyone actually running for office this year.
Based on the manga that retold the story of the original Mobile Suit Gundam television series, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin is a four-part anime adaptation that focuses on Casval Rem Deikun and his sister Artesia as they endure the hardships that lead up to the One Year War.
If you love Gundam, giant robots, or war stories, this should be on your watch list. The first of the four episodes should be available for viewing soon, but the second one won’t be available until this fall. Watch the trailers for both below.
Obligatory Spoiler Notice – The first trailer does reveal a plot point from the original 1979 series, so skip the first sixteen seconds.

Need some more witch activity in your life? You’re in luck because the OVA for Witch Craft Works has been released.
It’s been a year since the 12-episode drama/comedy series based on the manga came out, so here’s a bit of info for the unfamiliar.
Honoka Takamiya is your average high school student who has the (mis)fortune of sitting next to Ayaka Kagari, the most elegant and popular girl in school, and no matter what he does (or doesn’t do since they never talk), he cannot escape the wrath of those who idolize her. One day, when a falling building puts his life in danger, she saves him and reveals herself as a powerful witch dedicated to protecting him. It turns out he’s popular, too, but only among a faction of witches who want him for the hidden power within his body. Therefore, to better fulfill her duty, she vows to stay close to him, no matter how much trouble it causes.
The OVA itself is a light-hearted side story that doesn’t focus on Honoka or Ayaka but rather on Honoka’s little sister, Kasumi, and how her life has been affected by all the mayhem going on. It’s not easy for her, but she’s not going down without a fight, even if she has to bring out an army of stuffed animals (or one giant one). It’s mostly played for laughs, so it’s all in good fun.
Here’s hoping a second season is announced sometime because this witchcraft definitely works.
Note for Series Newcomers: There are one or two relatively minor spoilers in the OVA, but if that doesn’t bother you, check it out to see if you might be interested in watching the show.
The English subtitled OVA for the anime series Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga. (Recently, My Sister is Unusual) is available for viewing online, so check your favorite unofficial anime streaming or download site.
For those unfamiliar with the 12-episode series, it’s about a high school girl named Mitsuki Kanzaki who suddenly gets an older brother when her mother remarries. On top of that, she is then partially possessed and forced to wear a chastity belt by the spirit of a dead girl named Hiyori who cannot reach heaven until she fulfills her earthly desires. Naturally, such desires involve getting very close to said brother. Hijinks ensure.
The OVA itself focuses not only on them but also on the Torii siblings, Shoutarou and Moa, who serve as secondary characters, which is a nice change of pace. Their story is less chaotic and supernatural but just as entertaining. A must-watch for fans of the series.
